Overview

RecStudio is a Chrome extension for screen recording and video editing. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

Recording Data

All recordings, webcam videos, and audio are stored locally on your device using your browser's IndexedDB storage. We do not upload, access, or process any of your recording data. Your recordings never leave your computer.

License Keys

When you activate a Pro license, your license key is sent to our server to verify its validity. We store the license key, associated email address, and Stripe payment session ID. No other data is transmitted.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Screen recordings or video content
• Browsing history or tab information
• Personal files or documents
• Analytics or usage tracking
• Cookies (beyond what is strictly necessary)

Third-Party Services

We use Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for license key storage. Both services have their own privacy policies.
